Midway Ford Truck Center, Inc. was founded by Ford Motor Company in 1961 as the first Ford truck-only dealership in the nation. Ford management believed in decentralization. Midway was originally located in downtown Kansas City. In accordance with that belief our original dealer principal, R. Dean Edwards, purchased Ford's stock. Thereafter the dealership prospered, moving to its present location at the juncture of I-435 and 210 Highway in 1975. Midway has used its centralized location in the United States to gain national prominence in the commercial truck industry. Midway is a leading nationwide vendor of new and used trucks, truck parts and service. Today, Midway operates as a diversified dealership in 5 locations over 3 states, offering Ford and Western Star trucks and parts in Kansas City, Missouri, Freightliner trucks and parts in Palmyra, Missouri and body work through its subsidiary Midway, USA in Kansas City. Midway performs service work at facilities in Kansas City, Missouri, Olathe, Kansas, Palmyra, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois. Midway Ford is one of the largest volume Ford auto or truck dealers in the U.S. We are not only one of the largest volume dealers in the country, we’re consistently rated among the highest in customer service. Midway is the proud recipient of Ford Motor Company's highest form of dealer recognition. The President's Award is presented to only ten percent of the Ford Dealers. It is a product of our commitment to both our customers and employees, and it is an award which Midway has won nine years in a row.
