589 Peterbilt

The new 589 Peterbilt truck combines elegant style with peak performance. The 589, announced in May 2023, is now available for custom orders. Production will begin in January of 2024. The 589 is the future of trucking and the future of Peterbilt.

Model 389/389 X

Since we have to wait for the 589, we can focus on its predecessors. The Model 389 and 389X are popular 18-wheeler truck choices for long-haul trucking and various vocational applications. These trucks have the classic Peterbilt appearance and aerodynamic design, improving fuel efficiency. The 389 is available in a day cab, extended cab, or sleeper cab – all with the latest technology in driver comfort and safety. The 389 is one of the best trucks of 2023. The 389X is a limited-edition version of the Model 389, with a bold design, colors, and chrome features.

Model 579

The Peterbilt 579 is known for its aerodynamic design, impressive fuel efficiency, and advanced technological features. The focus on fuel economy makes the 579 a smart choice for long-haul trucking companies and drivers, where the fuel budget is important.

Electric Trucks

Peterbilt, like many other truck manufacturers, is entering the electric truck market. Peterbilt has three different models of the electric truck: the 579EV, 520EV, and 220EV. These trucks combine the reliability and durability of their diesel counterparts but offer no fuel emissions and less environmental impact.

Peterbilt is a subsidiary of PACCAR, giving Peterbilt, their trucks, and their drivers access to a large selection of PACCAR chargers, offered through PACCAR Parts. This strong partnership provides comprehensive electric truck charging solutions.

579EV

The 579EV takes the well-known design and features of the classic 579 and combines them to create an eclectic powered truck that can get the job done and reduce the environmental impact.

520EV and 220EV

Other eclectic truck options by Peterbilt include the 520EV and 220EV. The 220EV is a medium-duty truck perfect for the demands of navigating urban streets, regional distribution, or adapting to various vocational needs. The 520EV is a specifically designed vocational truck used for refuse and waste management.

Vocational Trucks

While known for their on-highway trucks, Peterbilt offers a variety of vocational truck models ready for whatever job you need. These trucks can withstand hard work environments and job sites, construction, mining, and refuse or waste hauling. The durability Peterbilt is known for is evident when these vocational trucks are put to the test. Peterbilt offers flexibility and customizable options to create the perfect truck to fit any tough job.

Model 520

The Peterbilt 520 is a vocational heavy-duty truck primarily used for refuse, including waste collection, transport, and disposal. The 520 is often used by municipal and private waste management and sanitation services. The eclectic version, the 520EV, has all the same uses, but zero emissions.

Model 367

Peterbilt’s Model 367 is a heavy-duty vocational truck designed for the toughest of jobs: construction, oil and gas, and logging to name a few.

For Sale Through Handshake Fleet

Handshake Fleet might not have the new eCascadia, or anything close to a SuperTruck in our inventory. However, Handshake has Cascadias and their predecessors, Coronado and Columbia. Handshake has a variety of Freightliner’s medium-duty freight trucks for sale. While you can’t customize a used truck the same way you can a new truck, our extensive inventory ensures there will be an option to fit your needs. Trucks are designed to last, and a used truck can still get from point A to point B with a much smaller upfront cost. Freightliner continues to be one of the manufacturers with the top trucks for sale, and Handshake is proud to sell them!
